You are asked, but not required, to register with OneCause in order to participate in the OneCause Program and/or to use the OneCause.com site. When you voluntarily register with OneCause, we require you to provide your name, email, and address. You will be requested, but not required, to provide additional personal information (title, phone number, privacy options). You will also be asked to designate a participating organization or youth organization to receive contributions from purchases you make in connection with the OneCause Program.
OneCause may also collect information about your computer hardware and software. This information can include your IP (Internet Protocol) address, browser type, ISP (Internet Service Provider), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and # of clicks, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. OneCause uses this information to administer the OneCause.com site, to detect problems with our servers, maintain the quality of the OneCause Program and to track traffic patterns on the OneCause.com site. We will not track nor analyze data according to domain names or MIME information.
OneCause uses your personally identifiable information to operate the OneCause Program. OneCause also uses your personally identifiable information to provide you with information about OneCause news and special offers and discounts from merchants affiliated with the OneCause Program. One of the OneCause Programs enables users to direct contributions to organizations and youth organizations simply by registering such user's Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or certain merchant loyalty cards ("Cards") with OneCause and using such Cards to make purchases at participating merchants' local store locations. This OneCause Program is called the Store and Catalog Program. The Store and Catalog Program is optional to OneCause's registered users, who may choose not to participate. Those registered users that voluntarily choose to participate in OneCause's Store and Catalog Program will be asked to provide certain Card information to OneCause. Such Card information shall be protected under all of the applicable provisions set forth above. For enhanced security, all card numbers are stored in encrypted format in our database.
If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our programs, we ask them for the friend's email address. OneCause will automatically send the friend an email inviting them to visit the site. OneCause stores this information for the sole purposes of sending this email and awarding referral fees (if applicable). The friend may contact OneCause Customer Service at 888.200.2088 to request the removal of this information from our database.
If you would like to change any information you have provided to us, or have information removed from our database, please contact Customer Service. You can also go to the My Account section of our site to update or change information. From this page, you can choose how OneCause should communicate with you or opt out completely from our emails.
